About

What this site is, honestly

A comparison site for car rental in Croatia, built around one idea: the local suppliers are the better deal, and the honest details should be on the page before you pay.

Croatiacarrental.com lists live cars from vetted local suppliers in eight Croatian cities and four airports, from Split and Dubrovnik to Zagreb and Pula. The prices you see come from live listings, never from a brochure, and they move through the day because the real market does. When you pick a car, the booking and payment run on an established booking platform that brings these local suppliers into one place; your rental agreement is still with the local supplier named on the listing. The platform is the secure plumbing (payment, confirmation, a record you can point to); the car, the deposit and the contract are the local supplier's.

How we earn is simple, and worth stating plainly: when you book through this site, the booking platform pays us a commission out of its share. You pay the listing price either way; comparing here adds nothing on top. That commission is the site's entire business model, which keeps the incentives clean. We only earn when a booking actually suits you well enough to happen.

We are not a rental company. We do not own the cars, hold the deposits or write the contracts; each listing prints its own supplier, deposit, insurance terms and cancellation cut-off before you pay, and those terms are the ones that bind. What is ours is the advice: every city page and guide on this site is written around actually driving in Croatia, tolls, parking, ferries and borders included, because that is the part a listing cannot tell you.

If something here is wrong, unclear or out of date, we genuinely want to hear it. The contact page has the address, and mail gets read by a person.
